Erdoğan said in response to the rectors against the constitutional amendment: " they should mind their own business. Everyone should know their place."

Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan spoke for the first time about the debates on the headscarf within the framework of the constitutional law amendment. Erdoğan gave a harsh response and signaled that the constitutional bill will contain the statement that " headscarves will not be prohibited at universities."

Erdoğan said: " we are talking about freedom. When we call it a political symbol, we need to connect it to a political party."
