| Alevis to be covered in the 12th grade |
The topic of Alevis, covered in the 6th, 8th, 9th and 10th grades will now be covered comprehensively in the 12th grades beginning next year. The religion course books will contain a 10 page section on " Alevis and Bektasi thought" giving basic information on prayers, ceremonies, fasts and the Alevi houses. The first publication of the religion course books covers Alevis under the title of " Alevis and Bektasi thought" in the section of " Mystical Interpretations in Islamic Thought" . |
A new interpretation of Alevis
Alevis will now be included in the curriculum for the 12th grade next year. The published book defines the Alevis beliefs as a "mystical interpretation."
The books for religion courses will also include 10-pages of information on Alevis. Alevis will also be covered in the curriculum in vocati
onal religious colleges.
