The Erdogans will spend the first 3 days of their US visit in Washington, DC, staying with their son Bilal Erdogan and his wife, Reyhan Erdogan. From there, they will go to New York City, where PM Erdogan will meet with various world leaders, including US President George W. Bush. PM Erdogan is also expected to eat an iftar dinner hosted by the New York Turkish Culture Center, a group formed by Fethullah Gulen.
PM Erdogan heads for US to see newborn grandchild, engage in poltics
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, accompanied by his wife, Emine Erdogan, departed the Turkish capital Ankara yesterday for a trip to the US that will include a stop to see the couple's newly born grandchild, and to participate in a UN General Assembly meeting.
