Commanders do not attend the national assembly reception

Turkish Grand National Assembly will start the new legislative period today. Köksal Toptan will lead the reception which will start with the speech of the president. The parliament speaker will host a reception with couples tonight. The chief of the general staff and the commanders stated that they will not attend tonight's reception. The commanders will be present at the reception of military academies, so they will not be able to attend the reception at the assembly.
